Age Discrimination In Education
Age discrimination is a very common problem in the United States of America. Age discrimination is wrong as per the anti discrimination act, and it is a punishable crime. Until now it was common that people in their work place get discriminated for their age saying that you are too old or too young to perform a job. However, age discrimination also is common in the field of education and children are frequently exposed to it. |

Surprisingly, age discrimination is accepted in schools. There are several children who have above average intelligence and can do a lot more work than that has been assigned to them. However, they are not assigned more work because of their age when they completely have the capability for it.
Intelligent children are also mixed in groups with average children so that other children can benefit from them. However, there is no rule that this type of discrimination will benefit the school system. It can do more harm in the long run. Also, in some cases if a child misses the six years old mark by a couple of months they are taken in a lower class.
They may have the complete capability of doing all the things that a six year old does. So the child loses out on time and also exposure that they can get. Instead they re forced to learn lower stuff for their age due to age discrimination. Age discrimination in education has not been discussed much and lacks rightful attention.
