Employers have to provide for the disabled and if the position does not have anything to do with the disability then the job has to be offered to them. Disability is defined as a physical or mental disability that severely limits the ability to live life normally. The main purpose of the law was to protect the interests of the disabled. For example, if there is a deaf person and if they are able to perform their job duties just like a normal person would, then they have to be kept at job. Also, the employer has to make additional arrangements to make it convenient for the deaf person. Even pregnancy has been included in the same act.
A job application or right to education cannot be rejected mainly because of the disability. Every disabled person has the right to employment just like any other normal person and their application has to be processed along with others. Even public utility places like bank should have special accommodation for the disabled and they have to have automated response systems or interpreters ion place to assist them. The disabled have the right to customer support and other facilities just like normal people.
