Discrimination based on the above grounds is not allowed when employing people and also while providing them housing. These laws are covered by the Civil Rights law. Discrimination has several forms and language discrimination is one of the prevalent ones. The main targets of language discrimination are Hispanics. In the US, there is a very high population of Hispanics and since they cannot speak in English well they suffer a lot in public places.
They cannot get help easily and they also have a problem conveying what they want to say. There are not many special support centers that can provide help for them. Hispanic and even other nationality origins find it very difficult to survive when they go out, for example, to public utilities and places like hospitals, shopping malls and many more.
When there is no support available for other nationalities or if a country does not recognize at least one more common language, it cannot be called as multicultural. Right now the US is introducing Spanish at school levels and also it is increasing the awareness to learn an extra language so that there is more harmony and equality in the community.
