As per the US law, no person should be denied health care on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex and nationality. Yet it happens too frequently. Some doctors who have racial prejudice do not accept clients from a particular religion or color they do not approve of.
This happens in health care branches like psychiatry and neurology.
Also, several advantages of health care like charity medications and other facilities are denied to the poorer class of people. The main targets of racial discrimination so far have been the African American people. Some doctors have refused patients based on their caste and color. Today, equal access to good quality health care is an important issue in the US. Ethnicity has been playing a damaging role in the society as far as health care goes. Several factors contribute to this problem like the cultural orientation of the doctors and also socio economic circumstances. Some research shows that smaller communities and even the African American communities suffer from more health problems, and one of the main reasons could be lack of access to proper healthcare.
