Racial discrimination against the blacks was mainly based on the color and also their position in the society. The black people came to work in America as slaves mainly in the cotton fields and sugar cane fields. The field owners were mainly higher officials from the white population. However, the blacks were stuck with this image and were always treated badly.
Racial discrimination was also based on creed such as towards native Indians. Several Native Americans were killed during American Revolution and the Civil War period.
These people were discriminated because of their caste and creed and also the fact that they were tribal. They were very backwards and uneducated and so they were looked down upon by the regular Americans. Today, several Muslims and Arab natives are being discriminated to the extent of being faced with violence and also on the grounds of pure hatred. After the attack on the World Trade Center, this kind of racial discrimination has started. Arab nationals are directly looked down upon and several people including the government officials suspect them to be terrorists. Today, they lack respect in the American society completely and are looked upon suspiciously when they practice their religious values.
