According to the Christian social system in America, the institution of marriage favors heterosexual marriages and considers that gay marriages are harmful to the society.
Legal arguments in favor of gay marriage use equality of human rights as the basis of their argument and advocate that the decision of gay couples to get married should be respected, as in the case of any other individuals. People against the gay culture strongly refuse to accept this and feel that though gay marriage would be harmful to the society, there is no evidence to support this belief. On the contrary, many social analysts feel that the legalization of gay marriages would benefit the society as a whole.
Many conservative Christians feel that those advocating in favor of gay culture are displaying blasphemous behavior and the religious or pious nature of marriage is lost when we speak of encouraging homosexual behavior and legalizing gay culture which is unacceptable to them and a large number of supporters from all over the world feel the same.
Marriage is a civil right which ensures that married couples are able to support each other financially, emotionally and physically. It is a legally, socially and religiously accepted when a man and a woman want to get married but when 2 people of the same sex want to get married, this relationship is not bestowed with the same kind of legal, social or religious recognition or acceptance. This is the reason why gay couples across the globe are trying to get together, form a forum and raise their voice against this anomaly.
