3. Incomplete databases tend to be less expensive than those that conduct more extensive search and have more creditable information. Hence, one needs to spend good amount of money while making important personal decisions such as checking on the records of potential business and investment partners.
4. Companies creating online criminal checks need to spend hours of time while obtaining information relevant to each state and county. The main reason behind this is that many of the courthouses present in the states or counties are reluctant to sell the criminal data to private firms. Hence, these companies need to rely on local agencies or court clerks so as to get updated information on a regular basis.
5. Another problem associated with uniform online database is that an act that is considered as crime in one state may be just a misdemeanor in other. Every state jurisdiction or judiciary contains its own definition for a particular crime.
