During interviews, the individual can mention regarding misdemeanor when asked and explain suitably the circumstances as well. Steps for rehab can also be mentioned. Entry into certain fields needing license following misdemeanor may be difficult but not impossible.
If the state law permits misdemeanor to be expunged from one’s records, it should be opted for. Some states like California do not require the individual to state previous record of misdemeanor if they are older than 7 years. A Class A misdemeanor can disqualify the individual for life from jobs like prison jailer or peace officer.
