White collar crime is a criminal offence which scares most defendants since the penalties levied are heavy. The insecurity of their future after leading a good lifestyle and probable conversion of the offence as a civil lawsuit makes the consequences worse when convicted. A person will not be able to retain to obtain professional license as well.
A non- American citizen may be awarded removal from the country or other immigration complications. A resident working in the US with a work permit and having a permanent residence lawfully will be removed from the country. Such a conviction will adversely affect the chances of obtaining permanent citizenship of the country.
