Types of Unemployment:
Frictional unemployment is one kind of unemployment that is caused to a few numbers of people when they are looking for jobs in an interim period. Like a person may have quit one job and they may be looking for another job. However, until they find the next job, they are practically unemployed. This type of unemployment ispart and parcel of the economy and can happen in any country.
Structural unemployment takes place when the ability of people does not meet with job requirement. It can also occur when a person does not earn the minimum wage stipulated. This amount is determined by the law, and every person who works in a certain job role has to earn that income.
Classical unemployment takes place the wages paid increase above the normal wages. So when the economy is a bit unstable the wages do not come down. Wages can also be manipulated by the trade unions. Here the opportunities are less than the number of looking to fill them.
Cyclical unemployment is what applies to the United States, and it is caused due to a bad economy.
Seasonal unemployment is caused when the jobs are seasonal. Jobs in resorts and hotels fall into this category as the people who work there may have their jobs just for the tourist season.
