There have been several reasons for divorce of late like infertility, extra marital affairs, domestic violence and recession. Financial instability has been a major contributor to the divorce rate in the US.
Calculating an accurate divorce rate depends on a lot of factors like the age of the couple and the financial status of the couple itself. One of the research shows that when couples whoa are 20 years and less get married the divorce rate is nearly 27.6 percent. The divorce rate is fairly high among couples who get married when they are 24 to 27 years old. From here on, as the age increases like couples that get married close to when they are thirty or above are least likely to get married and the divorce rate for that age group is only 16 percent. The older a couple, there are signs that they stay together and are least likely to get a divorce. Also, people who have children that are in their teens consider divorce with care.
Among these statistics the second and third marriages are not being taken into count. People who have divorced and remarried are also least likely to go through divorce again.
