Effects Of Domestic Violence And Child Abuse

Domestic violence and child abuse are one of the most common social problems that are existent in the society. A child who is put through domestic violence also goes through child abuse invariably. A couple may not abuse the child directly, but it is highly possible that the child is going through emotional turmoil when the parents are yelling at each other.

Any person who is put through emotional turmoil is being abused in one way or the other. A child does not have to be physically abused in order to be termed as a victim of emotional abuse. Children witness the effects of an abusive relationship and go through a lot of emotional conflict.

Some children get physically abused by their parents due to their own emotional stress. However, physical abuse also has a mental effect on the child and it is a given fact. When a couple is quarrelsome and is having their own issues, it is impossible that children living in the same house do not get involved. Also, when the marriage eventually ends, the child is faced with a decision to live with any open of the parent. It is impossible for a child to deal with so many emotional conflicts at the same time. They go through stress watching their parents fight, next they feel insecure that their parents are going to separate and also they do not get any help from their parents to deal with the emotional stress at that point of time.
