Cause Of Juvenile Crime
Juvenile crime is one of the fastest growing crimes in modern day. Several teenagers and adolescents are taking to various types of crime in this current day and age. Among the juvenile crime cases some of the most common are a child’s involvement in inappropriate behavior, illegal and harmful conduct. Mental health and also drug or alcohol abuse is also a leading cause for juvenile crimes. |
Several psychiatrists are trying to study the causes and reasons as to why the children take up to wrong means at a very young age. The rate of juvenile crime cases is especially high among the teenagers. They take to drugs and alcohol at this young age along with smoking. They are involved in drug dealing at school level and often get caught.
There are many risk factors that lead to juvenile crime. Lack of parental supervision seems to be the leading cause for juveniles taking to wrong life style and habits. Even though they belong to perfectly normal families some kids still do drugs and partake in shop lifting or other minor crimes because the parents do not give adequate attention to them. Also, a lot of it depends on the parents themselves. If one of the parents has been involved in criminal activities, then it increases the chances of kids getting into a same patter. Also, if parents seem to disrespect the law, kids tend to pick up on the same attitude. Some kids who suffer from excessive depression or other similar mental problems are easily deviated to bad habits. It seems more convenient for them to be involved in illegal activities.
