Pros And Cons Of Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration is the act of entering a foreign country with or without using the legal way but staying there for a period longer than permitted by the visa and taking up work or permanent residence against the approval of the government of that country. In the world of law, this is a serious offence. But sometimes, the conditions of the native country of an illegal immigrant become so bad that they are forced to risk everything and take this recourse. And this act, like all others, has its share of pros and cons to it. |
One of the positive factors of illegal immigration is that the immigrant is forced to take up a job, which pays lower than usual, thus, adding to the economy of the country. Also, usually it is seen that, to avoid complications, illegal immigrants pay up all the required taxes and the dividends to the bank on time. Thus, along with banks, the real estate agents also profit from them due to the same reasons- they try to pay off all the property taxes and real estate taxes without delay.
But the other side of the coin is equally bad. Illegal immigrants can cause judicial problems like escaping the arms of law after committing crime in the country where they immigrated illegally. Not being permanent residents of the country and usually without any blood relatives over there, it can get difficult tracing them. Also, illegal immigrants in a country can increase the rate of crimes like human trafficking, kidnapping, murders, etc in the country they illegally adopted. Also, the number of population of an area and also the burden on the public transport system increase undesirably. Promising lands like the US face these problems every year.
