Refugee Aid Organizations

There are hundreds of refugee aid organizations working in different countries across the world. Majority of them are non governmental organizations working towards the benefit of the refugees. They provide development and humanitarian aid to refugees in various countries.

The largest such refugee aid organization operating in the United States of America is the ANERA (American Near East Refugee Aid), which works in collaboration with several local health facilities, schools, municipalities, universities, charitable institutions, cooperatives, and the grassroots communities to provide community services in Gaza and West Bank. This organization strives hard to provide emergency relief and development aid to millions of displaced refuges in Lebanon, Jordan, Gaza Strip, West bank, and the Middle East.

Most of the refugee aid organizations in the U.S. are funded by grants from private and public institutions, as well as by the individual donors. They utilize these funds not only to provide emergency relief, but also to reduce poverty and alleviate suffering of the displaced refugees. They do so by addressing their long-term social and economic needs through various job creation, education, and health care programs. Thus, these organizations basically work towards helping the poor refugees meet their basic necessities. ANERA, which has been rated as a 4-star charity organization working for refugees, is known worldwide for its dedication and transparency to revamping lives of the impoverished Middle East communities. They have undertaken several big and small projects, ranging from installing small water tanks to building big water reservoirs, to accomplish their mission and extend the best possible aid to the Palestinian, Jordan, and the Lebanon refugees.
