Speed Limits In Usa

The Department of Motor Vehicles has very stringent traffic rules in the United States, and one has to comply with them. Non compliance with the traffic rules leads to traffic violation, and strict action is taken against people who do not comply with the traffic rules.

  • 35 to 45 mph (56 to 72 km/h) on urban roads
  • 50 to 65 mph (80 to 105 km/h) on highways in cities
  • 50 to 75 mph (80 to 121 km/h) on rural two-lane roads
  • 55 to 75 mph (89 to 121 km/h) on rural expressways
  • 65 to 80 mph (105 to 129 km/h) on rural interstate highways
